1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.

And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand however we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its direction and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power, and advanced mowing capabilities. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while saving you time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and dust. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. In addition the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to reach under low-profile furniture which makes it a great option for apartments or condominiums with small spaces. 4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market however, it comes with numerous additional features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature in its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is beneficial as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.

Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
